HDMI Extender Devices Received TEMPEST Certification

Once again, we've hit another big milestone in the AV world: our HDMI-OPTX-TX100A and HDMI-OPTX-RX100A devices both have received NATO SDIP 27 Level B TEMPEST compliance.

This is a significant achievement for us, as it demonstrates our commitment to designing, developing and providing secure and reliable AV solutions to our global customers.

NATO SDIP 27 Level B TEMPEST compliance certification is a recognised security standard that is used by NATO and other organizations to ensure that electronic devices are resistant to eavesdropping and other forms of electronic espionage. The certification process involves testing the devices in a secure environment to ensure that they meet strict standards. Only devices that pass the rigorous testing process are awarded the TEMPEST compliance certification.

The HDMI-OPTX-TX100A and HDMI-OPTX-RX100A transmitter and receiver devices are fiber extenders based on SDVoE technology and allow users to extend HDMI 2.0 compliant video, audio and control signals from a single source to a single destination through a fiber optical link.

LEVEL B – NATO SDIP-27

TEMPEST Level B is the next highest NATO standard, also known as “IMMEDIATE”. This standard applies to equipment that cannot be heard from a distance of over 20 meters, and is operating within NATO Zone 1. This standard protects equipment both from 20 meters of unobstructed distance and a comparable distance through walls and obstacles.
