Lightware automation is a built-in feature in our devices, that is offered as an additional functionality. It is implemented within our devices, using the internal CPU and the existing ports of the device.
Yes, the RAP and RAC series of devices are meant to provide additional control in spaces where there is no need for other AV management devices.
Depending on the hardware, Ethernet (TCP, UDP and HTTP), RS-232, Infrared, 5V GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) and dedicated Occupancy Sensor ports can be used.
For the most common control features there is no need for programming skills, after watching a short tutorial, anyone will be able to start using our wizard.
Event Manager was added as a supplementary feature for our devices. Throughout the years the functionality grew and got shaped by the needs of our customers. As Lightware’s aim got higher and higher, eventually the need formed for a new approach in the world of automation. LARA was planned very carefully to be a flexible, open, future-proof solution for all applications. It is our brand-new control software, that is running on our latest devices, and will sustain Lightware’s automation in the years to come.
In some cases, but not always. Lightware automation solutions are additional features, not the main profile of our products, therefore they are not designed to be as universal as traditional control systems. They can be utilized best in applications where an entire control system just might be too much, because we offer the entire feature set as a free built-in solution in our AV management devices.
